3 ways to Style Gloves as Fashion Accessories

In my eyes, the King of Pop made gloves cool. Sure, princesses and other royal dignitaries have been wearing them to events for centuries, but it was only when Michael Jackson, with his one sparkly design, danced upon a stage that I thought, "My, oh my, I got to get me some funky gloves too."

Beyond their functionality—we wear them against the cold, while driving , to play golf, and so on and so forth—gloves have long been considered  fashionable. But only in recent years have they shed their formal reputation and rockstar association to become fashion-forward MUST-HAVES ! From lace renditions to leather designs, here are 3 ways to wear gloves as a fashion statement .

The Colorful leather piece:

Gloves made from leather already give off a luxurious air. Pick a colorful rendition, like this 90s design in store, and style them with statement blouses or with dresses for a statement finish. We love popping hues like green, yellow and red.

The Long Opera Glove

Take style notes from your favorite street style bloggers who are wearing long gloves typically reserved for formal occasions with their everyday attires. Fashion magazines have dubbed this trend the " The Long Opera Glove."  Opt for fabrics like lace, and of course, leather and invest in designs with statement details—all the better when vintage.
